Following the Music Weekly Artist Feature: Madison Marie McIntosh

Hello All!

Everyone at HaitiChildren is so excited about our upcoming fall fundraiser. It is a particularly special event, as we will be celebrating the artists who will make the musical based on my book, Angels of a Lower Flight. I am so humbled by this production, and I am so inspired by all the talented individuals who are working on it. This week, I’d like to introduce the incredible opera singer, Madison Marie McIntosh. Ms. McIntosh will be playing me in the upcoming musical. I had the chance to meet her while in New York this summer. It is wonderful to know that she is inspired to contribute to HaitiChildren.

Madison Marie McIntosh, mezzo-soprano, has been praised for her “wondrously flexible voice” and “prodigious vocal skills” (Voce di Meche). OperaWire has praised her “vocal power,” “enchanting voice,” and “velvety mezzo-soprano.” She has been featured as Ernesta (Un avvertimento ai gelosi) at Caramoor, Tancredi (cover) and Eco (Tancredi rifatto) at Teatro Nuovo, Delia (Il viaggio a Reims) with the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, and Alto Soloist (Messiah) with New Amsterdam Opera. She has also performed Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Title Role (Carmen), Isabella (L’Italiana in Algeri), Angelina (La Cenerentola), Cesare (Giulio Cesare in Egitto), Hansel (Hansel and Gretel), Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Sara (Roberto Devereux), Prinz Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Giovanna Seymour (Anna Bolena), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), and lead roles in the world premières of four operas by Theodore Christman. In 2019, she joined Eve Queler as a soloist in her 25th annual Bel Canto Opera Concert. She has performed in venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Our team is honored to have the opportunity to see Ms. McIntosh perform this fall at our fundraiser in New York. We at HaitiChildren love our little angels so much. It touches my heart when I know that our community of support and love is growing. We are truly grateful to Ms. McIntosh and all the artists involved in these exciting projects.
